Murchison Falls, where the Nile is squeezed into a crack in the rock
The Victoria Nile crosses 3,840 square kilometres of northern Uganda, then forces its entire volume through a cleft barely six metres wide and drops 45 metres into the gorge below. Above and below that point live about 2,250 Nubian giraffe, the largest population left anywhere in the world.
