Easing off October, not out of the rains
Rainfall drops from October's 234 mm to 184 mm, spread over 16 days rather than 20, while days edge up slightly to 29.4°C and nights hold near 19.8°C. UWA describes November as very quiet, and the thirty-year numbers back that framing even if the rain itself has not let up much yet.
Roads off the paved corridor remain the concern rather than the corridor itself, and game stays dispersed across ground it abandoned back in June, which suits patient self-drivers better than anyone working to a tight two-day itinerary.
The discount, the quiet, and what still runs
Uganda's discounted low-season primate permits apply nationally in November too, the same offer that covered April and May, worth factoring in if Kibale or Bwindi sit on the same route. On the water, the falls launch and the delta cruise keep their normal timetables, though November falls outside both of UWA's dry-season shoebill windows, so treat the delta as a general birding trip rather than a shoebill mission this month.
Lodges stay open through what is, by most measures, the emptiest stretch of the year alongside October, and a November booking is realistically the easiest one to make on short notice anywhere on this calendar.
Fishing season, unaffected by the rain
A Nile perch permit is priced the same in November as in any other month, fifty dollars a day or one hundred and fifty across four days, and the record catch here of a hundred and eight kilograms is a persistent enough draw that some anglers plan trips around this quiet stretch on purpose.
The falls launch keeps running through the wettest turns of the year too, so a morning on the water is a dependable fallback if the tracks on land are asking too much of a rental vehicle.
